Two recent updates this weekend, creating the new Chameleon Swing icon for the game and reworking the cyclops statue still hanging around inside my computer. Still alot of refining and muscle definition to do but it’s taking shape.

Man-At-Arms, this piece is till ongoing, I managed to retopologize the Falcon Helmet, my own redesign inspired and influenced by infantry men-at-arms in 1400's (i.e Agincourt) and Roman legion armour. The body armour is still based on the original He-Man cartoon and recent comics. The suit was partly inspired by Boba Fett’s, Star Wars with gadgets but my design is AI voice activated (similar to Iron Man) which can protect the wearer from explosions, gunfire, chemical biological warfare, nuclear fallout and inhospitable terrain. In the backpack is the power source for the internal computer, the suit, and weapons like the mace fitted in the backpack. I plan to detail the face further with skin pores, eyelashes and facial hair. All the work was carried out in ZBrush and Blender.

Can you guess the likeness/portrait?

This is the recent update for the 3D Camil Chameleon model. I went back into the model to redo and adjust some items, improve textures and render again to give a more polished and striking look to the work. Go to the main page and view the movie and images from there.

Detailing and adding realism to the face sculpt of Man-At-Arms using James Franco as reference. It’s going well but some areas need attention like the ears, neck and fibre mesh for the hair, eyebrows and stubble.

Hi All! FireTwin will soon be showing our game Chameleon Swing at Insomnia61 in Birmingham, UK. If your there pop by say hello, play our game get a high score and win prizes!!! Before this I have uploaded some images of our new 3D Cam Chameleon sculpt – it was fun to do, but the rendering part was tedious and ongoing, but for now I am please with the current passes until I review it in a couple of days.

Apologies readers(if any!!) about the long delay in blogging a post of recent updates. I really have to be more consistent instead of going off on an art journey without you keen folk following me, just me i’m just bad at chasing up and building rapport over social media. – Anyway after the new year and the Trump becoming president I thought I share some recent arty, game asset updates for Chameleon Swing. We are well underway in finishing the special abilities to help people swing through the Madagascan jungle I have provided some of the (yawn, bore, grunt work, clean up – devil in the detail, final polish) sprite sheets the Chameleon( Were also in the process of changing Camill’s name – not catchy enough, it’s a good thing he hasn’t been Christened yet) with his horns and the suit of armour with our ace programmer adding extra spice with particle effect armour – ooohhhh! I know right!

In addition here are some extra art bits we will use for marketing, and that ugly word that everyone avoids but I like, Sell, Sell, Sell! So the first pic (Pic 1) is a pencil drawing and a complete line clean up in Gimp and the next stage will be biro inside the clean outline, rescanned, and cleaned – hopefully a new experimental piece and process in using traditional media, texture with the digital. (Pic 2) ZBrush 3D sculpt of Camill Chameleon – watch this space (Pic 3 & 4) Chameleon with horns and Chameleon in a suit of armour.

So folks that is it. Hope you like the delayyyyyed updates! Take care and a Happy New Year, Cheers

Gaius Julius Caesar, experimental/marble bust created in ZBrush (I would be quite afraid facing this guy on the battlefield) Ryan Kingslien has been a real help in pushing my anatomy to the next level – cheers Ryan!

Man-At-Arms update. OK. This retopology stuff is going very slow due to other pressing matters like Chameleon Swing but I just thought I better show that I’m still working on this mammoth 3D sculpt, little by little, piece by piece.

Head sculpt with Falcon helmet (Man-At-Arms)

Had difficulty sleeping so I refined the head sculpt for the Man-At-Arms model using James Franco as reference to a certain point and stop there as i want to create a unique person (not James Franco) as Man-At-Arms…that’s the story so far.

The Rose Princess - first attempt at sculpting a female model (unfinished) in Blender. It was a nice challenge, but i find it easy and more interesting modelling the human form - the toughest challenge will be building realistic armour around the female form. I was inspired by the historical references to the Tudors, Joan of Arc and knights effigies in England and France in Medieval period.
